Meet the Residents – Praksis R31: Elasticity

Join the residents of PRAKSIS Residency 31, Elasticity, as they introduce their work through short presentations, followed by open discussion and audience questions on 5 November 17:00 – 19:30 at PRAKSIS 2nd floor, Rådhusgata 19, Oslo.

Running from 3 – 30 November 2025, Elasticity explores how bodies, materials, and systems stretch, adapt and respond to external ecological, social, or emotional pressures. Residency 31’s participants represent multi-disciplinary perspectives spanning film-making, performance, design, sound, material research, sculpture, curating and social engagement. Their presentations consider how elasticity manifests across differing scales, from the intimate and bodily to the structural and environmental.

Joining the residency are Rebecca Jane Arthur (UK/BE), Åsa Båve (SE/NO), Malin Bülow (SE/NO), Mai Hofstad Gunnes (NO), Felicia Hedman (SE/FI), Icaro Lopez de Mesa Moyano (CO/DE) and Taylor Smith (US/FR/NO).

Conceived by Marte Aas (NO) and Stephanie von Spreter (DE/NO) in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Norway and the Finnish-Norwegian Cultural Institute, the residency brings together nine artists and researchers to collaborate, share research and experiment through collective inquiry.

The artists were selected through an Open Call arranged during Spring 2025.
