Together with our colleagues from EUNIC network in Norway – EU National Institutes for Culture – we are proud to present the first edition of European film selection. The theme of the festival this year is the environment. Through both feature and short documentaries, European directors are showing us the world that surrounds us, how it is evolving and the challenges we are facing.

The Finnish contribution to the program is Walk the Tideline by Anna Antsalo. The film tells a story about beachcombers that search our shorelines for lost treasures. Ocean currents carry all sorts of paraphernalia to the beaches. Some shores fill with lightbulbs, while others are taken over by lego blocks or ancient bones. Walk the Tideline will be screened on 14 September at 18:30.
