CODA Oslo International Dance Festival
12.10 - 21.10

CODA creates unforgettable experiences, stimulates the development of dance as an artform and is a meeting place for seeing, doing and talking about dance. CODA Oslo International Dance Festival has developed into the largest contemporary Dance Festival in the Nordics.

“Who are we not seeing/hearing on stage? Where can belonging be found? And how the variation of bodies becomes visible in practice?” These are some of the questions this year´s CODA-festival examines, according to festival director Stine Nilsen.

The festival program includes for example:

ONE DROP 14.10. & 15.10.
We perceive the world largely through various social constructs, categories, divisions, representations, and narratives. We have been taught that there are “natural” categories  such as man and woman or black and white, nature and culture. However, many of the categories that now determine our identities date back only a few hundred years.

ONE DROP is a new, mindblowing work from Sonya Lindfors & company that continues to interrogate questions around the  spectacle of otherness, the intricate relationalities between modernity and  coloniality and the myth of art as independent, apolitical and free.
