We are happy to welcome Teemu Esko as our new intern. His internship has just started, and he will be working as a member of our team until the end of June 2025.
Teemu graduated as a cultural manager from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences this June. This is the second time Teemu is moving to Norway since he has previously completed an Erasmus+ exchange in Tromsø.
Teemu has previously worked in communications and event production. His most recent internship was at the National Museum of Finland as a communications assistant. In his spare time, Teemu likes to enjoy nature and culture, from tabletop role-playing games to music and movies. Creative writing is also one of his favourite hobbies.
How do you feel now that you moved to Oslo and your internship has begun?
Moving to Oslo feels like an eagerly-awaited return rather than moving to a completely new place. Even though I haven’t lived in the city before, the fact that I already speak Norwegian has made it very easy to adapt to the city. I believe that this will be an experience at least as amazing as my student exchange.
What sparked your interest in FINNO?
EDUFI internships generally feel like they’re made for me because I’m interested in internationality and different art forms. As far as FINNO is concerned, I was particularly interested in the Norwegian connection, as I’m dreaming of a career in Norway.
What are your expectations for the internship?
I hope I’ll get a chance to deepen my knowledge of cultural management and learn more about Nordic cooperation. I also expect the internship to offer unique networking opportunities.
Welcome to the team, Teemu!
EDUFI internships abroad are meant for Finnish and Finland-based students in higher education and recently graduated higher education students. The internships are funded by The Finnish National Agency for Education.
